I spent the first 10 years as a church planter creating and pursuing a vision for the local church. I later traded the vision for the divine dream over my life and our city.
The dream of God over your life is not simply that you become a believer and help out the local church. The dream of God over your life is that you come alive in his presence and bring life to every environment, spilling contagious hope into hurting humanity.
Jesus entered our story so that together with him we could rewrite the story of everything everywhere. That is our calling, that is our task, that is our assignment.
The kingdom story is for the whole city and for the whole of our lives. It’s a story beautiful enough to live in and big enough to live out.
I’m deeply passionate about exploring ways the church can step into the story of God for the sake of the city. My desire for our time together at the Cause Conference is that the story inscribed in our hearts would begin to be written everywhere on everything, in every corner of culture, that sons and daughters, dreamers and leaders would emerge filled with the Spirit of God and would lead the way in unleashing fresh creativity into decaying industries, cities, workplaces and families.
I’m excited about Cause because I sense that there are things God has hidden in the heart of your community that will only be released when you awaken to your calling and align yourself with them.
There are families without purpose, marriages without passion, businesses without direction, communities without hope waiting for someone like you to enter their community and remind them that this is not all they were made for, that God in heaven has drafted them into the divine dream that awakens them to their eternal purpose.
It’s time to have more than a vision for the church. It’s time to have dreams that shape the city. It’s time to discover your cause. Let’s do it together.
