Areas of Expertise

Each coaches brings with him or her certain areas of expertise, which are outlined below. Our goal is to match their expertise with your needs for coaching!

Fundraising and Finances

Experience may include such things as: raising funds for a church plant or building campaign; establishing a financial board; establishing standard church finance practices.

Engaging the Unchurched

Experience may include such things as: gathering the unchurched; sharing Jesus; neighboring as a lifestyle; creating events for the unchurched; giving a gospel call.

Priorities and Planning

Experience may include such things as: time management training; calendaring; clarifying vision and values; establishing priorities; creating goals; daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual rhythms.

Developing Leaders & Volunteer Teams

Experience may include such things as: identifying potential leaders; recruiting leaders; training leaders; deploying leaders and giving authority/responsibility; ongoing monitoring of leaders; pastoral care of leaders; recruiting and training volunteers; developing team culture and cohesion.

Pastoring Difficult People

Experience may include such things as: establishing boundaries; keeping records; differentiation; conflict management practices; creating a plan for resolution; when to involve professionals.

Relational Dynamics of Leadership

Experience may include navigating relational dynamics such as: between a planter and sending pastor; between a planter and their launch team; between a pastor and their leadership team; between a pastor and their church. In each relationship, dynamics may include such things as communicating vision, galvanizing toward action, addressing performance, or resolving conflict.

Managing Stress

Experience may include such things as: personal work in the coaches own life; spiritual disciplines; rest and Sabbath; family and ministry balance; Emotionally Focused training; time management.

Managing Change

Experience may include such things as: changing from staff to lead pastor; being a new pastor; being a new parent; change theory; church culture change; new church vision and direction.

Assimilating New Attenders

Experience may include such things as: creating a culture of hospitality; building a team; developing a system of follow up; new attender gathering events; integrating new attenders into existing discipleship process.

Systems and Administration

Experience may include such things as: database and software systems; establishing policy and procedures; building management; visitor processes; small groups organization; volunteer team scheduling.
