The life of a church planter can be lonely. It can be difficult to find people who can relate, and other church planters are often far away. We can easily become isolated if we’re not moving intentionally towards community. Through the wonders of technology, we have an opportunity to connect with other church planters, pastors, and others from across the world. Multiply Vineyard has a discussion forum for just this purpose. Our vision for the forum is for it to be a place where like-minded people can have meaningful conversation, provide encouragement, share resources, and solve problems together.

In the past month, many of us had a chance to get together in person at the National Conference. It was a refreshing and encouraging time to reconnect with people who are on the same mission as you are. Moving forward, we’d love for the forum to be a way that we keep connected between conferences and a place where we can keep moving towards healthy community together.

How to Use It

Register: It’s easy to get on the forum. The orange banner on the top of the multiplyvineyard.org site will direct you right there. You’ll be asked to fill out some basic information and agree to the forum rules.

Introduction: After you register, you’ll be asked to introduce yourself to the rest of the forum. Introductions can be very simple—a good idea is to include your name, where you’re from, and a brief explanation of your involvement/interest in church planting. Some participants are already actively planting churches, or multiplying their churches. Others are in the process of exploring a calling to church planting or are part of a church planting team.

Once you’ve made your introduction, take a minute to read through the other introductions and get to know some of the other participants—you may discover some like-minded people who share part of your vision, or run across someone farther down the road who can advise you through something you’re dealing with right now. Who knows? You may even find your way into a new partnership.

Dig In: Take a look at some of the discussion threads. Comment on a few. Join a discussion. Have a question? Ask it—start a new thread. There’s lots of explore. You can also check out the What’s New tab. This will take you to the lastest posts and discussions.

Right now there are quite a few new posts about topics from the National Conference, discipleship-making movements, international church planting, and a variety of other topics.

A few other things you might like to check out are the Events and Resources tab. Find discussions about some of the recent events, and explore a host of resources. We’ve included things here that are not available on our public website. Go ahead and browse through them. Questions? Ask them! We excited to hear from you!
