Asian American Church Planting

Planting churches to create spaces where Asian Americans engage with God in a relevant way

How can you can get involved with Asian American Church Planting?

Asians are the fastest growing racial group in the United States. Church planting efforts specifically geared towards this group of people helps us reach a group that might otherwise be overlooked.

Planting Asian American churches in the Vineyard involves a multigenerational and multicultural approach. We envision planting English-speaking Asian American churches to reach out to Asian Americans born in the U.S. and those who have immigrated but have acclimated to the language and culture. Typically, English-speaking Asian American churches will be geared towards the next generation.

At the same time, we envision planting Chinese-speaking congregations within existing Vineyard churches in areas that have high populations of native Chinese speakers. We are starting with Chinese because it is the fastest growing demographic among Asian Americans and also the mother tongue of our local church. Of course, there is intention of planting congregations in other Asian tongues, too.

If you’re interested in reaching Asian and Asian Americans, we’d love to connect with you about continuing to build this partnership.
