March 22, 2014 - March 23, 2014
The Vineyard Church / Urbana, IL
In addition to planting 750 new Vineyard churches over the next 10 years, the Vineyard church multiplication team has set a goal of launching 150 new sites. We believe that both of these approaches are good and represent the biblical value of multiplication. Currently there are 20 churches in the Vineyard that are multisite churches and our desire is to see this number increase over the next 10 years.
The Church Multiplication Team desires to come alongside you as you consider multiplying using the multisite model and offer training and resources in doing so. We want to invite you to attend a two day training at the Vineyard Church in Urbana, IL on March 22-23rd, 2014. Join us as we evaluate readiness to become a multisite church and share practical tips and tools for preparing to become a multisite church and launching your first site.
Registration is now available.
The main speakers for the Multisite Conference are:
Michael Gatlin and his wife Brenda co-pastor the Vineyard church in Duluth, Minnesota. Michael also leads the Vineyard Church Multiplication Team for Vineyard USA, which exists to encourage and empower local churches as they multiply disciples, leaders and churches. Michael’s passion is helping people discover and express all that God has created them to be. When he’s not riding his motorcycle, Michael loves to spend time with his family, read, create art, play music or simply throw a frisbee for his border collie.
Dave Ferguson is the lead pastor of COMMUNITY, an innovative multisite missional community who is passionate about “helping people find their way back to God.” CCC has grown from a few college friends to thousands every weekend meeting at 13 locations throughout Chicago and was recognized as one of the most influential churches in America. Dave provides visionary leadership for NewThing whose dream is to be a catalyst for a movement of reproducing churches. He is also the co-founder of the Institute for Community, who partners with real estate developers and apartment communities to accomplish their mission of “helping people build quality relationships where you live and work through the power of genuine community.” He is the author of The BIG IDEA (2007), Exponential (2010) and On The Verge (2011). Next to Jesus, Dave loves his wife Sue immensely and his three terrific kids, Amy, Joshua and Caleb.
Jim Plank and his wife Lori are pastors at the Sullivan campus of The Vineyard Church of Central Illinois. The Sullivan campus launched in 2009 and has grown from an average weekend attendance of 180 to 450. The Vineyard of Central Illinois currently has 5 physical campuses and an online campus. Jim also serves as the Executive Pastor, working with all of the campus pastors. He is passionate about sharing successful multisite models with other churches, as he believes it allows the campus pastor to concentrate on building relationships, which is a huge benefit to the community.
Corey Garris is the Executive Pastor at the Mile High Vineyard in Denver, Colorado. Prior to working at MHV, Corey oversaw the development of campuses at Vineyard Columbus, was a campus pastor himself and also helped send out church plants. As Executive Pastor, Corey is responsible for supplying pastoral care and leadership to the church as well as overseeing the development of MHV hubs throughout the Denver metro area. He’s passionate about seeing Jesus transform lives in his city and creating hubs that are life-giving communities that profoundly impact their neighborhoods and communities. He and his wife, Cyndia have been married since 2003 and have two daughters, Ava and Rylee.
